About

TLDR

My name is Oscar.

I’m a reader, writer, accountant, cyclist, late bloomer, programmer and wannabe hacker.

This is a blog is for privately public notes about surviving, thriving and learning. It contains reasoning, conclusions, realisations and rants written for me but open to anyone. Maybe it’s useful, would love it if it entertained and if all else fails, it helped me overcome.

Stuff I’m into (in no particular order)

Being sheltered in a summer rain.
A walk in nature, rain or no rain.
Reading in shelter, from weather, noise and distractions.
Driving and thinking.
Creating through writing, building, and thinking.
Building by following instructions, getting the satisfaction of building but without the insecurity of creating. Lego, web pages, bicycle, a car if I could.
Playing board games with friends and loved ones, the strategic thinking it involves.
Going down rabbit holes, usually nerdy ones.
Music and lyrical meaning.
Competing with a team whatever the activity.
Learning and developing my abilities, widening horizons
Explaining complex concepts in simple terms
Watching a good tv-show after a long day.
Hanging out with my wife.
Beer, preferably outside and with friends.
Sauna. Nature nature nature. Cold swimming.
Watching most sports, especially teams, especially live.
Playing computer games, especially co-operative ones.
Cycling and being involved in the sport. Road, mountainbike, gravel.
Technology. Especially computers but in general.
Minimalism, I’m attracted to having less, simplifying. Not great at it.
Running, especially in nature but even in the city.
Cooking stews, preferrably for a long time, accompanied by a glass of wine
Golf. At least the idea of it.

End the day wiser than when it started. Don’t preach what you already know, listen to what others can share. Work in progress.
